Detail : My father, CMSgt Arthur H. Nelson, passed away on Dec. 2, 2010. He was stationed at Greenville AFB in 1959-1961. He would have been a MSgt at the time. His squadron bowling team were league champions one of those years. I have wonderful pictures of the team, their trophies. Dad was a flight line supervisor and was noted by his superiors as being \"one of the best mechanics and teachers of young airmen he had ever had the privilege of knowing...\" I wenht to Fulwieler Elementary and E.E.Bass Jr. High School. Our family attended the Lutheran church where my parents were active leaders. Sgts Orsie and Findley & families were close to our family. My mom was Bea Nelson. She passed away Feb 2009. If anyone has pictures of them, especially my father at work, I would love to see them.

Detail : I was Stationed at Greenville AFB from Mar 1958 to Nov 1960. I was in the 3506 Field Maintenance Squadron and worked in the Airborne Radio and Navigation Shop. Greenville AFB was my first assignment out of Tech School. I went on to retire from the Air Force in 1978 after 21 years of service. I have a few color pictures of the 1959 parade down Main Street when Mary Ann Mobley was Miss America if anyone is interested. Also a couple of Lake Ferguson Boat Dock. I have a few pictures of the AFB showing two T-33 on the ramp, a view of the barracks and the inside of the Radio Shop.

Detail : I was stationed at Greenville in 1963 while attending Medical Service Specliast School.
Remember the base as very nice place to be. Had some of the best food in the chow hall. Great Airmans club with dances that a lot of the local girls came to.
Liked some of the local restaurants and coffe shops. Dont remember the name of the coffe shop I like but believe it was in the old Greenville Hotel.
If anyone has pictures of the base from that era, I would appreciate seeing them.
Hope all of you have as many fond memories as I do of my stay at Greenville AFB

Detail : I grew up in Greenville, graduating from E.E.Bass in 1953. In November 1953 I married the very newly graduated pilot, 2nd Lt. Jim Overton from Glen Allen, Va. We were married almost fifty two years when he passed. Two years later, God sent me Robert Ray, a former high school classmate. We knew each other in school, but never dated. We have often said, \"God saved us for each other at this time in our lives. There is a lot of truth in the song \"The Second Time Around.\" Although Greenville is very worn, I still remember how it was way back when, and I still love to come home.
