I had my boat broken into in 2008 and the thugs stole 20 gloomis rods, since I didnt have coverage on my contents I couldnt afford to replace them. So I did some research on custom rods and found G blanks and ordered 7 of them and could not be happier, they make the lightest rod I have ever used and they handle anything you put them up to!

Hi, from Gloucester Ma. I am very impressed with the looks of your product and am wondering what the turn around is on a custom built. I am fortunate to live in an area that I can fish daily(for six mos.) Although I catch mostly schoolie stripers I wonder if you can help me with with a light rod that will handle the occasional 30#er.

I think, that small acting capes at steep coast will show you an arrangement of underwater combs behind which parking a pike perch or a pike are possible. The on a small site of a reservoir of these combs it is more, the and the ground relief is cut more up and, accordingly, to a predator is rather interesting.

In about a week George will have about 50 rods ready for sale. They will be different rods, with both standard and Fuji guides, all with standard colors, which are black with silver accent and our new style open drop shot style hook keeper. I will be putting a list on the site, e-mail me or call with what you are wanting. Been a long time coming, finally getting caught up enough from all of the orders to get a few on hand. Thanks all! From the start, Larry was very helpful in getting the rod I wanted ordered. I ended up ordering a 7´ ML with the Alconite Guides and Nub Style Handle.

Larry called right on schedule to let me know that my rod was done, he told me he would send it out right away, and he did just that. I received it in 3 days.

Pulled out the rod, I and admired it. The craftsmanship is great. Very good attention to detail. It is very light and sensitive as well. It is a complete custom rod. I even was able to catch a bass on it on lunch break!

Thanks for such a fine product, you have a customer for life!

I was fortunate enough to stumble upon this rod on Ebay and bought it. It has only been with me for few weeks but it has become one of my favorite rods for bass (and I own roughly 25 bass rods!). It impresses everyone who touches it. I just wish I did not have to take it in for repairs after a heavy object fell on one of the guides and dislodged it. Luckily, it just needs to be rethreaded onto the rod. I already miss the rod and it has only been a day. Great craftsmanship and a great team of guys involved! I will certainly buy more.

I got acquainted with Larry Mitchell about 5 years ago. He was doing some tackle business on the BFHP. I wrote to Larry telling him what reel I wanted to buy from him and how I intended to use it. Larry explained to me how I was selecting the wrong reel for the job and recommended that I buy a different reel (which he did not have). He was more concerned that I have the correct reel for my application than concerned about making a sale.

I can´t remember ever having a seller of any product be this concerned for my best interest. Needless to say, I have total trust in Larry. I would not hesitate to send him a signed check allowing him to write in the ammount . I KNOW LARRY WILL DO THE RIGHT THING!

Not only is Larry a truly stand up guy he sells a superb rod. My G-Blank rod is my favorite rod. At 73 years old I´ve owned a bunch of rods. Nothing beats his rod and noone beats Larry for honesty and integrity.

Jason, got with you and your rod was shipped. David, this week some time yours should be ready. Just wanted everyone to know that since George quit his job and is doing rods full time now things should be a little quicker after the next wave of rods are done. Don´t know how long a turn around the other custom rod makers do, I´m thinking not any quicker than us. As probably the only rod maker that doesn´t ask for a deposit and offering custom rods $100 or more cheaper than others, I think ours are worth the wait. One thing we ask please, know what you want when you order, one of the problems has been people changing their order mid stream, which really is a burden to us, and for all others waiting on their order. We thank all of our customers and for those waiting on their rods, they will be on the way shortly. If you have any questions or would like to know what rods we have ready and available, just call me or e-mail. The overwhelming response to our rods was unexpected, but I think that after you use one, as I first did, you won´t fish anything else. There is not a better rod on the market for the money period! I would like to first of all say that Larry Mitchell is one First Class individual and George Blancas is one heck of a rod builder!.....With that said I believe that a good rod should have a good person behind it, and G-Blank´s have two great people!....I received my first two G-Blank rod´s a few week´s ago and was very impressed the minute I took them out and held them in my hand! These rods are everything Larry has said about them and more. I got to use them in a tournament that I fished in, and could not believe how sensitive these rod´s truly are! Today I received my third G-Blank and you can bet it will not be my last! If you are looking to buy a custom or high end factory rod and do not want to spend an arm and a leg for one, I would highly recommend a G-Blank in your arsenal, you will get everything and more that a high end custom will bring you at half the cost! Thank´s Larry & George for giving us such a great product at a great price!

This may be a little long but it´s my honest opinon. Let me begin by saying most of the rods in my locker are Kistler LTA´s and G- Loomis. My reason for trying a G-Blank was the split handle, I wanted to try one. Kistler is introducing their new LTX Helium line soon and it features the split handle. But for me it was way too much money to lay out ($329) to try this type of rod. While on eBay I happed to see the G-Blank and decided that this would be a good choice to sample as it looks almost identical to the new Kistler (that I thought I really wanted) and the price was right for a trial rod. I really like my Kistler rods and spent a considerable about of money on new rods this year. When the G-Blank arrived, I was initially impressed with the look and especially the feel of this rod. Fishing with it only increased my satisfation levels with this rod. I make the point about the Kistler´s for one reason - comparison. I have good rods and know what a difference good equipment can make in a day on the water. The rod I have feels as good in the hand as my Kistler in the same length & wieght. The G-Blank is remarkably similiar in performance on the water, also. So my point is? Would I sell off my Kistler´s and Loomis rods? No, I have them and like them, they are great rods. But had I known about G-Blanks prior to sinking so much money in them, would I have done so? Quite possibly so, and saved consideralbe money. So the bottom line is if you are considering investing money in new rods from G-Loomis, St. Croix or, yes, even my favorite - Kistler, you should give these rods serious consideration also. You could save a bunch of money re-stocking your rod locker. Try one, I don´t think you will be disappointed - I wasn´t. I´m convinced now the new Kistler LTX isn´t worth, to me, the extra $200, when I can buy three G-Blanks for the same money, or put that $200 in a good reel to put on the rod.

Do you have differant actions on your 6´6" medium spinning rods ? I fish medium diving cranks , rattle traps , spinner baits and Seinko´s from 1/8 to 5/8 oz. I´m in the market for a couple new rods to fish the above mentioned baits. I´m looking for moderate , fast , and x-fast actions plus the cost of the rods.

Hi folks! After thinking about it for quite a while, I finally purchased my first GBlanks rod. All I can say is, "Why did I wait so long?" This is truly the best fishing rod I´ve ever used. I´ve been a longtime fan of St. Croix rods, mostly the Avid series. This GBlanks is, in my mind, far superior, and for less money! Trust me, this will NOT be my last GBlanks! Thanks, Jim Hallman, Madison, MS.

I for one am STUCK on GBlanks rods!! I ordered 3 to fit my needs and got them within 2 weeks!! On receiving them, I was floored!! AWESOME is an understatement! These were exactly what I wanted and the craftmanship is superb! I know it may seem as if I´m over-reacting but you will not find a more sensitive or lighter rod. Many more are sure to find their way in my boat. I kinda want to keep this secret to myself but its hard not to tell everyone I see, just how great these rods are....Thanks Larry!

I took a chance and purchased two of these rods on ebay. To say I´m impressed is an understatement. Everything I ever wanted in a rod at a fraction of the cost. I´ll be getting a few more of these. Good job on providing the angling public with a great quality rod at an affordable price.

G-Blanks are the lightest and most sensitive rods I have ever used. You can spend twice the amount of money it cost to buy a new Custom G-Blanks Rod and still have a hard time getting the same quality and dependability. A G-Blanks might just be the last rod you’ll ever want to own, for me they will be.

Just spent a week in Canada fishing with Larry Mitchell. Was close to his boat when he hooked and landed a 41 inch Pike using a G Blank custom 6 ft 6 inch medium action spining rod. The rod was bent double from the first guide but never gave up

Tried one of these rods last year when I fished with Scott Welcome and was impressed enough to buy six of them. Great custom rods for the money and great customer service. What more could you ask for?

Fishing 300+ days a year require that the equipment we use is of the highest quality and stands up to the extreme use. We have found these qualities in G-Brand Custom Rods. Customer service has been fast and positive. We recommend these rods and Larry Mitchell´s outstanding customer service the next time you need a rod.
